UPDATE: Couple found safe in Alabama after vanishing on way to Roswell

ROSWELL, Ga. — A Mattie’s Call was issued Thursday for a missing elderly North Carolina couple traveling to visit family in Roswell for Thanksgiving.

The couple has since been located safe in Alabama and they are being reunited with family members.

Winford and Vivian Bryson left their home on Wednesday and were expected to arrive that afternoon, but did not show up, Roswell police said Thursday.

They were seen around 8 a.m. Thursday near 1206 U.S. 278, Cedartown, GA , Roswell police said.

Winford, 81, is severely hearing impaired. Vivian, 77, suffers from memory loss.
