A little Jonesboro boy should be celebrating his birthday.

Instead... as WSB's Pete Combs reports... the boy is missing... and authorities are increasingly worried about his safety.

It's Abdul Ghani Wahhaj's birthday. He should be home with his mother celebrating. But the boy disappeared with his father back in December. Surraj Wahhaj told his wife he was taking his son to the park. They disappeared.

“I’m missing him,” the boy’s mother, Hakima Ramzi, said in a video posted on social media back in January. “I miss my husband and my son.”

Her husband... elder Wahhaj was arrested over the weekend at a remote... heavily armed compound in Taos County, New Mexico. There... Sheriff Jerry Hogrefe says he found three women and 11 children... all dirty... hungry and thirsty.

“These children were hungry. They were thirsty. They were filthy,” Hogrefe said.

But Abdul Ghani wasn't among them. The boy is disabled and can't walk. Court records show his father thought Abdul Ghani was possessed by the devil and wanted him exorcised. Back home in Clayton County... authorities are increasingly worried where he is... and whether he's okay.
