ATLANTA —The Atlanta Hawks and Novelis hosted an after-school community event to teach Atlanta Public School students about the importance of recycling on Tuesday afternoon
According to Atlanta Hawks officials, Head of Sustainability Sofi Armenakian lead a presentation on recycling and discussed which items go in the various bins provided at the arena.
“We are thrilled to extend and enhance our sustainability partnership with Novelis,” said Hawks and State Farm Arena’s President of Business Enterprise and Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Saltzman. “Novelis has continued to help us reach new milestones in recycling and sustainability and as we have continued to be a leader in the sports and live entertainment industry.”
The students concluded the visit with a tour of the arena and learn about where the Hawks implement sustainable practices.
