If you are planning to travel internationally there is an app you need to know about. It's Mobile Passport App. https://mobilepassport.us/ The app is free. Lori Silverman in Clark Howard's Consumer Action Center says," just download your passport and some other information and when you get to immigration, you hand them your phone with the passport, there is a separate line to go through and it's really quite easy."

It will help international travelers avoid long lines at US Customs and Immigration at US airports. "I personally used it in New York and went through immigration in six minutes," says Silverman.

It's an alternative to Global entry. It is available at most major airports, including Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International.
