Deputies searching for man they say assaulted woman inside a Fulton County Courthouse bathroom

(ATLANTA) — The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man accused of assaulting a female worker inside a bathroom at the Fulton County Courthouse.

Authorities confirm to Channel 2 Action News that the victim is a worker at the courthouse.

“Unfortunately, we had a young lady that was attacked in a courthouse restroom,” deputies said. “Fortunately, a witness walked in and interrupted the assault.”

Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat said that the victim had minor injuries and was pretty shaken up.

The man is described as a Black male with medium complexion. He is approximately 5 feet, 5 inches tall with a muscular build and a short haircut.

He was last wearing light blue jean shorts and a black tank top.

The man was identified as he exited the courthouse.

“Apparently, the gentleman had been hiding out in the bathroom and escaped through one of the side entrances,” Labat said.

The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office says there is an active search for the man around the Justice Center Complex.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911.
