Vehicle of interest identified in Marietta armored car robbery

A vehicle of interest has been identified in the Marietta QuikTrip robbery on Tuesday. The vehicle is described as dark in color, 4-door-car, unknown make or model.

Loomis Armored is offering a cash reward up to $10,000 for information leading to the apprehension and prosecution of the suspect associated with this incident.

Marietta Police Officer Chuck McPhilamy reported Tuesday that a courier was getting out of his armored vehicle with a sack of cash at the QuikTrip on Powder Springs Road and Sandtown when, "A single suspect came up from behind the driver, snatched the bag of cash and fled on foot.”

Police cordoned off the area and searched for the suspect. He’s described as a black man with dreadlocks past his shoulders and a full beard, 5’08” - 5’10” tall and weighing approximately 150-160 pounds and wearing khaki pants.
