Man killed outside Snellville Walmart over words

We’re learning more details about a deadly shooting outside a Walmart on Scenic Hwy in Snellville Sunday night.

Snellville Police have identified the victim as 49-year-old Fadil Delkic of Lawrenceville. Det. Jeff Manley says Delkic and his wife were driving through the Walmart parking lot when he got into an argument with a woman outside.

“She walked just beyond his vehicle. He got out of the vehicle and they continued to have words. And then she struck Mr. Delkic in the face, at which point, her fiancé, Mr. Hunte, who was a little bit ahead of them, immediately pulled a weapon and shot him in the chest,” Manley tells WSB’s Sandra Parrish.

Troy Hunte, 26, remained at the scene and has been charged with voluntary manslaughter. His fiancée does not face any charges.

Manley says family members of the victim told him Delkic was beaten and tortured at a Bosnian prison before immigrating here. He calls the death senseless.

“It’s crazy that he would lose his life over the exchange of words,” says Manley.

Police are looking to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the shooting.
