Sadiyah has experienced pain crisis due to Sickle Cell Disease from a young age. She has gotten to know her ‘family’ at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center so well that she asks to go have ‘sleepovers’ at the hospital because she enjoys being there so much. In November 2018, Sadiyah was admitted to the ICU and suffered a stroke due to a frontal brain hemorrhage. She may have many months of physical therapy and recovery left but her mom knows that no matter what is to come, Sadiyah will be well loved and cared for all by all staff at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center.
