Autumn weather outlook

By Kirk Mellish

It looks like October will open with some cooler than normal weather in Georgia before swinging back the other way, then I think it will swing back again. The net result will be a month that on average works out about normal to a bit warmer than normal with near normal to above normal rainfall. October is typically one of our sunniest and driest months of the year.

It looks like November will follow suit with back and forth swings of extremes balancing out over the 30 day period to cooler than normal with precipitation near-average to above average.

The trend for the coming winter is still for below-normal temperatures and above-average to near-normal precipitation with the chance of snow normal to above normal with a weak El Nino in the Central tropical Pacific Ocean
