Here are the new maps for February and March and for the Spring months of March through May. Analog years are best matches to La Nina, ocean temperature patterns, solar cycle, and US winter patterns. Neutral ENSO conditions are expected by summer.

The next 90-days looks like precipitation will average near-normal with temperatures averaging near-normal to slightly cooler than normal. It looks like the winter pattern will continue with the most rain in North Georgia and the driest weather in South Georgia. It also looks like the periods of unseasonably warm weather will continue to alternate with colder than normal spells. The see-saw ride continues. This looks especially true for the rest of Feb and March, whereas normal to above-normal temperature days will be more prevalent in April and May. See the maps from the analog compositing tool. Years are listed at top of the maps.
