The big event tonight will be the third prime time news conference of the Obama Presidency, as he once again lays claim to an hour of network TV.
It is an unusually aggressive press conference schedule, especially when compared to the last President, who didn't have a third prime time newser until his third year in office.
What should you expect tonight?
I would assume that Mr. Obama will begin with a rundown of what he thinks he has accomplished so far, and that would include the economic stimulus law which includes some tax cuts, children's health insurance, the completion of last year's budget and more.
Thankfully the swine flu story will take away some of the focus on the 100 Days Of Obama, which is a good thing, since I think that marker is a tad overhyped.
Even if you don't like the agenda of Obama, you have to tip your hat to his team, because they have done a lot legislatively in the first three plus months of this administration.
"100 Days of Obama. 100 Years of Debt," read the news release from Rep. Lynn Westmoreland of Georgia, an attack that was repeated by many in the GOP yesterday.
"100 Days of Change Americans Can't Afford," read another missive from Congressional Republicans.
Those may be on the mark, but right now, the polls definitely favor Obama.
If you look at some of the tracking polls on Presidential approval ratings, you get everything from 63% positive in the Gallup and CNN polls down to 56% at Rasmussen.
And when you drill down in the numbers, Obama gets good marks from his own party and bad marks from the GOP. That's about the norm as well.
Will we hear anything to change that tonight? Chances are that we won't.
But there's a reason you play the game, because you never know what might happen. Stay tuned.
