Bridge demolished with explosives
A bridge in Texas was demolished with the help of explosives. "CBS This Morning" showed a video of the bridge coming down. The bridge was 77 years old and is the largest of its kind to be demolished in Texas. A larger, safer bridge is being built in its place. KVUE reported demolished the bridge saves three months of construction time. KXAN says the demolition caused phones to stop working and 911 call centers were knocked offline. Shrapnel from the blast damaged sewage lines near the bridge.
