Braves-Dodgers times set for Turner Field

Major League Baseball has announced the start time for the first two games of the National League Division Series between the Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers.

Game one, set for this Thursday, October 3 at Turner Field, will have a first pitch of 8:37 p.m.  Game two, which will be played the very next day in Atlanta, will start at 6:00 p.m.   Both game will be televised on TBS.

The series shifts to Dodger Stadium for game three on Sunday, October 6 and game four, if necessary, on Monday, October 7.  Start times for those games have not been determined.

Kris Medlen, who won 15 games during the regular season, will start Thursday's game one for the Braves.  Even though the Dodgers have not announced their game one starter, it's probably will be 16-game winner Clayton Kershaw.

Additionally, Medlen has been named National League Pitcher of the Month for the month of
September.  It's the third time Medlen has won the award in his career.  Medlen posted a 4-0 record in five September starts, tying for the N.L. lead in wins while compiling a league-best 1.00 ERA.

In the American League, the Tampa Bay Rays beat the Texas Rangers 5-2 in Arlington, Texas, in the Wild Card Tiebreaker.  The Rays will now play at Cleveland in the AL Wild Card game Wednesday at 8:07 p.m.  The winner of that games goes on to play the Boston Red Sox in the ALDS.  On Tuesday,  the Pirates host the Reds in the NL Wild Card Game at 8:07 p.m. with the winner going on to the NLDS to face the St. Louis Cardinals. 

Both Wild Card games will air on TBS.
