ATLANTA, Ga. —
WSB Meteorologist Kirk Mellish says the greatest threat of severe weather is outside of metro Atlanta.
Mellish says the risk of a tornado is not zero but it is low for the Atlanta area. Most of the storms will not be severe but some will still be heavy, and he adds "it will be moving out for the morning drive Thursday". There is potential for severe weather in the state again late Friday or Saturday.
