Two people are dead in Marietta after what police are calling a murder-suicide.

Neighbors say they heard gunshots just before 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning on Gateview Way, near Scufflegrit Road.

When police arrived, they found Kay Cornell Janus, 72 of Marietta, dead in the garage of her home. The body of Henry Harlan Wooten, 70 of Acworth, was down the street in a cul-de-sac.

Investigators say they believe Wooten shot and killed Janus in her garage before walking down the street, turning the gun on himself.

The two had a long-term relationship, but no official motive has been released.
