Truck driver charged in fatal accident

A truck driver from Greenville, South Carolina has been charged in the fatal accident earlier this month that claimed the life of a Duluth woman.

67-year-old Thomas Caldwell turned himself in on charges of second degree vehicular manslaughter and making an unsafe lane change.  He's accused of causing the accident that sent the Nissan pathfinder, driven by the husband of 32-year-old Rabia Adnan, up the side of an exit ramp where it flipped over the guardrail.

Her husband and two children in the car were not seriously injured. Police did not find evidence that the tractor trailer struck the car. Adnan was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident.
