Duluth Police investigators believe they have broken up a massive car burglary ring that targeted well over 100 cars in Duluth, Johns Creek, Cobb County, and unincorporated Gwinnett County.
Detective Bobby Johnson tells WSB's Sandra Parrish three people have been arrested so far, but more arrests could be made
Chase Miciek, Fredrick Kicklighter, and Sebastian Kicklighter all face various charges of burglary, entering auto, and theft by receiving.
"We were told on a nightly basis they would go out and hit over 50 vehicles a night... for at least three months," says Johnson.
Johns Creek Police investigators say the three may be responsible for more than 70 car break-ins there since 2010.
In most cases, Johnson says the thieves would steal electronics such as GPS devices and iPods, cash, and expensive sunglasses.
"We do believe that some were entered by force but the majority of them, I would say well over 80-85 percent... were left unlocked," he says.
Johnson says evidence in a home burglary led police to the suspects.
