Georgia's pre-k continues to grow

As schools prepare to reopen, the state's pre-kindergarten program will also welcome its own big group of kids, entering a classroom situation for the first time.
Georgia's program has been recognized as one of the best in the country, and it keeps growing.
An estimated 84,000 children are expected to enroll for the 2014-2015 school year. That number is up from 82,000 last school year.
Georgia's pre-k program is set to enter its 22nd year, shortly after the Georgia Lottery turned 21.
Like the HOPE Scholarship, the pre-k program is sponsored by the lottery.
Program start dates depend on the schedules for their local school districts and daycare centers.
