Gladiators face Stingrays in Opening Round of Kelly Cup Playoffs

The Gwinnett Gladiators begin the 2012 Kelly Cup Playoffs on Tuesday, April 3, 2012.  Gwinnett will battle the South Carolina Stingrays in a best-of-five ECHL Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.  As the higher seed, Gwinnett elected to host the last three games of the best-of-five series.

Game 1: Tuesday, April 3rd, Gwinnett @ South Carolina, 7:05 p.m.
Game 2: Wednesday, April 4th, Gwinnett @ South Carolina, 7:05 p.m.
Game 3: Friday, April 6th, South Carolina @ Gwinnett, 7:05 p.m.
Game 4: Sunday, April 8th, South Carolina @ Gwinnett, 2:05 p.m. (if necessary)
Game 5: Monday, April 9th, South Carolina @ Gwinnett, 7:05 p.m. (if necessary)

The Gladiators will host all three home games, if necessary, at the Arena at Gwinnett Center.  Please note the special 7:05 p.m. start time on Friday, April 6th and the 2:05 p.m. start on Easter Sunday, April 8th.

Gwinnett captured the ECHL South Division title with a 2-0 win over the Florida Everblades on Wednesday, March 28th.  It was the second regular season division title for Gwinnett after notched the South Division Championship in 2006.

The Gladiators are the ECHL Affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres and the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League and are members of the ECHL, the Premier “AA” Hockey League and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
