Roswell Police are still optimistic they will find 71-year-old James Gary Morris alive.
“Obviously we hope he’s okay,” said Roswell Police Officer Lisa Holland. “Maybe he’s just having difficulty getting up. We’re hoping for a positive outcome.”
Morris wandered away from home sometime Tuesday night. His car was found by Don White Park, where he likes to walk along the Chattahoochee River. There was an extensive search for Morris Wednesday, involving police, firefighters, tracking dogs and river boats. But rescuers had no luck.
“We don’t know which direction he went or where he is – whether he fell in the river or had a heart attack or is just wandering around lost,” Holland said.
Morris is 5’-6”, 160 pounds, with salt and pepper hair and perhaps wearing black sweat pants. If you see him, call police.
