Police in Gwinnett County are searching for a female suspect who robbed a woman of her purse and dragged her trying to get away.

The victim was walking back to the Marriott Hotel on Technology Parkway in Peachtree Corners August 9 when she was approached by a blue Honda Ridgeline. A female passenger jumped out and grabbed the woman’s purse.

“The female in the passenger seat was able to get back into her vehicle while the victim was still holding onto the purse and the driver drove away. So essentially, the woman was being dragged by the car as the suspects were trying to get away,” says Cpl. Michele Pihera.

She tells WSB’s Sandra Parrish the vehicle actually ran over the woman’s foot in process.

The suspect is described as a black female with shoulder-length black hair, between 30 and 40 years of age, 5’ 4” to 5’ 7”, about between 150 and 170 pounds. There is no description of the driver.

The blue Honda Ridgeline is a 2006-2014 model with a trailer hitch and a sticker on the rear window.

Anyone with information is asked to Gwinnett Police. Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.
