Police looking for suspects in man's robbery

Derrick Stevenson was walking towards the MARTA station when his route was interrupted.

Officer Michael Shaver of the Atlanta Police Department, reports Stevenson was on Seaboard Ave. when a black male in his teens walked past him and stood in front of him.

The black male then pointed a black semi-automatic weapon at Stevenson and demanded he “give [him] the stuff.” Then another black male in his teens walked up behind him.

Stevenson threw his wallet and iPhone 4, he was carrying, on the ground. The teens picked up his stuff and told him to run. He ran to Caroline Street to call the police and the suspects ran to the MARTA station.

Police recovered surveillance footage from the scene which clearly shows both the suspects and the robbery.

Police are asking for help in recovering the two suspects. The first male has short hair and the second a striped shirt. Anyone with information is to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477), online www.crimestoppersatlanta.org or by texting CSA and the tip to CRIMES (274637).

There is a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the suspects.
