Deny, deny, deny!

Obama may have learned a few things from his frenemy Bill Clinton after all. Clinton was a strong believer in the strategy that, when someone keeps confronting you with a fact it is not in your interests to admit . . . deny, deny, deny!

It worked pretty well for Clinton until the blue dress, but maybe Obama thinks there is nothing equivalent to DNA evidence to demonstrate what is clear to anyone willing to see about the economic decimation caused by ObamaCare. We know that employers all across the country are cutting employee hours to stay below 30 per week, because that keeps them from having to shell out for health insurance. Investors Business Daily has compiled a list of the 300 biggest employers doing it. This is not debatable. ObamaCare is killing full-time work for a lot of Americans.

So what does Obama say when confronted with this fact? Deny, deny, deny!

“A lot of this stuff has been happening for the last several years," he helpfully explains. "That doesn’t have to do with the Affordable Care Act.”

Now first of all, that's not much of a defense of his economic policies, now is it? If it's been happening for the last several years, um, who has been president during the last several years? Bush? Even if you could make the case it's not because of ObamaCare, you're still left with the reality that Obama's overall economic policies are not producing jobs.

But of course it's about ObamaCare! Companies are not systematically cutting people back below 30 hours for no reason. They're doing it because they don't want to take on a huge, new, mandated cost as a result of having people work for them. They've been doing it for the last several years because they knew ObamaCare was coming and they've been getting ready. Is Obama really that ignorant about how business works?

Actually, that might be possible.

Obama can deny, deny, deny all he wants, but facts have a way of making themselves clear. Eventually, even Clinton couldn't escape the truth that was on that blue dress, and he had to admit he'd been lying all along. Obama won't be able to escape the truth that his liberal policies have decimated people's jobs. Even if his protectors in the media are determined to cover for him, the American people are not that stupid.
