TYRONE —
A woman in Fayette County has died after being shot in what police think might have been a botched robbery.
The 44-year-old and her grandmother had just returned to the home on Bohannon Road in Tyrone. They may have surprised the burglar when they arrived.
Investigators say the suspect got off a shot as the getaway car sped off.
The woman was hit and died on the porch of the home.
The search continues for the suspects in the case.
