Suspect, Widow Worked Together

(WSB Radio) -- Hemy Neuman appears as unlikely a murder suspect as Russell "Rusty" Sneiderman appeared a victim.

Neuman, dressed in an orange jumpsuit, was stooped over and appeared frail as he walked into DeKalb County Magistrate's court Wednesday and asked for a public defender.

Dunwoody Police say Sneiderman knew his killer and have not ruled out the possibility of the arrest of another suspect.  Neuman is being held without bond in the DeKalb County jail.  He's due in court again on February 18.

"It's still under investigation," police spokesman Mike Carlson told The Atlanta Journal and Constitution.

Neuman, 48,  is an operations and quality manager with General Electric in Cobb County where Andrea Sneiderman works an an engineering manager.  Neuman was Sneiderman's supervisor in the Wildwood Parkway office complex off Powers Ferry Road.

The suspect is also a father of three, a pair of twin 20-year-olds who attend Georgia Tech and a 17-year old daughter who wants to attend Tech to study Business.  Her siblings are engineering students.

Sneiderman, 36, was gunned down outside Dunwoody Prep day care on November 18 just after dropping off his 2-year old son.

Sneiderman, the son of an accountant who studied business at Indiana University and also became an accountant earned a Harvard MBA.

Police have always believed Sneiderman was targeted. Authorities have not disclosed motive in the case.
