ATLANTA -- —
Today is crossover day at the State Capitol - the deadline for getting a bill passed in one chamber, to be taken up in the other.
It's day 30 of the 40-day legislative session, and Georgia legislators are expected to take up as many as 60 bills and resolutions, including the most important one, the budget.
Also up for consideration: drug testing for welfare recipients, new funding for charter schools, and a ban on certain kinds of mass demonstrations.
