Sneiderman Called 911 Before His Death

(WSB Radio) An intriguing new development in the murder of a Dunwoody businessman.  Sgt. Mike Carlson tells WSB 36-year-old Rusty Sneiderman made a 9-1-1 call one week before his death about a suspicious person in his back yard.

"At this time, we don't think that these two are linked.  The description that was given at the time and of course, the description that we have now of the murder suspect do not match," said Carlson.

Police did respond to Sneiderman's house but by the time they arrived, the person in his back yard was gone.

"The suspicious person was out near the air conditioner when he went outside and then the guy left.   That's when he called us. We responded out there immediately but this individual was gone upon our arrival.  We did canvass the area to try and locate him and question him about why he was in Mr. Sneiderman's back yard, but were unable to locate him," said Carlson.

Carlson says while they don't think the two cases are related, they're not ruling anything out.

"The irony of course is there.  With him calling the week before and then of course approximately a week later, he was killed.  We haven't one hundred percent confirmed or ruled this suspicious person out, however, there is nothing that is linking the two right now," said Carlson.

Sneiderman was shot to death in the parking lot moments after dropping his two-year-old son off at the Dunwoody Prep School.  Police say they still do not have a motive.  Some have said Sneiderman may have been the target of a hit.
