A DeKalb County sanitation worker has been reassigned after he and others are accused of hitting up homeowners for holiday tips.

Homeowners in a subdivision in Brookhaven complained after several of the workers came to the door inquiring about a tip.

"I felt like that I was being pressured," homeowner Mike told Channel 2 Action News.

Mike says one of the workers asked if they forgot about them for Christmas.  Mike told him he had not.

"He said, 'well, you know, we'll be back next week,' and he said, 'you can put it up underneath the mat or and the door,' and he said, ' I'll pick it up,'" said Mike.

DeKalb County Spokesman Burke Brennan says one of the workers, who was caught on a neighbor's security camera, has been reassigned.

"We are looking into it.  If it's found that that did in fact happen, it's not acceptable and action will be taken," said Brennan.
