Police: Woman struck by possibly three cars in hit-and-run

By Daphne A. Young

MARIETTA —

Marietta Police are investigating a serious hit-and-run accident Saturday night on North Marietta Parkway near Allgood Road.

Officer Michael Gardner tells WSB a female pedestrian was walking on North Marietta Parkway when she was struck by a truck and then possibly 2-to-3 other vehicles.

Police say the truck driver, who was the first to strike the woman, remained at the scene.

But, the other drivers did not stay and police are now searching for any information on those drivers and their vehicles.

The woman was taken to Kennestone Hospital and is listed in critical condition.

Her name is not being released pending family notification.

Anyone with information about this accident in Marietta is asked to contact Officer Stephen Miller at (770) 794-5357.
