A Paulding County man is behind bars accused of molesting two young girls, as deputies search for more possible victims.
Corporal Ashley Henson said it started when a 16-year old girl called 9-1-1 last month, telling the operator saying she had been sexually abused for years.
“The alleged abuse occurred from age five until age 13,” Henson said.
The girl told authorities she wasn’t alone, that the existence of a second victim spurred her to report the crime.
“She said, ‘Hey, I don’t want there to be any more victims,’” Henson recalled.
After hearing the 16-year old girl’s story, detectives interviewed another girl who is 14-years old.
On the basis of both stories, Detectives last week arrested Dakota James McNeil. Accused of two counts of aggravated child molestation and one count of aggravated sodomy, McNeil is now being held in the Paulding County jail on $30,000 bond as detectives try to figure out whether other victims might be involved.
