It looks like Hemy Neuman's legal troubles are far from over. 

On Thursday, a DeKalb County jury found Neuman guilty but mentally ill in the November 2010 murder of Rusty Sneiderman, who was shot to death outside of his son's Dunwoody daycare. Neuman was sentenced to life in prison without parole.

The attorney for Neuman's estranged wife Rely, tells Channel 2 Action News she was pleased with the verdict.

"She's very pleased, of course relatively speaking, that he will never be free again," said Esther Panitch.

Although Neuman separated from her husband several months after his arrest, Panitch says she now wants a divorce.

Neuman agreed to give whatever assets he had left to Rely and their three children, but Ms. Neuman wants more.

"I'm asking for alimony.  Mr. Neuman will be eligible to work.  He may make ten cents an hour while he's in prison for the rest of his life.  But considering the destitute way he left his family, he should forever be trying to make up for that," said Panitch.

Neuman's attorney called the request a joke and said Neuman would have no reason to respond to his estranged wife's request.

Panitch says she will also prove that Neuman cheated on his wife with Andrea Sneiderman, the widow of the victim.

"If Hemy Neuman won't testify then Andrea Sneiderman will be compelled to," said Panitch.

Panitch says she plans to file the paperwork for the divorce later this week.
