Palmetto, GA —

The mother of the 13-month-old child who ingested cocaine over the weekend has now been arrested.

17-year-old Andrica Daniels arrived at the South Fulton Regional Jail Facility Wednesday afternoon, for a second round of questioning by police, and was taken into custody around 1 p.m., says The AJC's Marcus Garner.

Police aren't saying why the mother has been arrested, but she is now being charged, along with her mother, 34-year-old Ebony Daniel, and her boyfriend, 22-year-old Charlie Martin, for allegedly letting the toddler ingest cocaine.

The AJC is also reporting that Martin has told police that the drugs found in the Palmetto home belonged to him.  "He said that it was his own and that he would never hurt the child under any circumstance," says AJC Reporter Marcus Garner.  All three people are being charged with possession of cocaine, reckless conduct and child cruelty in the first degree, according to Palmetto police.

The child was taken to Piedmont Newnan Hospital over the weekend and then transferred to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.  Doctors there confirmed the child tested positive for cocaine.

The boy has since been released from the hospital and investigators said they were awaiting toxicology reports to determine how much cocaine he ingested.   Meanwhile, D-FACS has been called in and has turned the baby over to the great-grandmother, Andrica's grandmother.

Ebony Daniel and her boyfriend, Charles Martin are scheduled to attend a bond hearing on Thursday at 11 a.m.  No word yet on when the child's mother will appear in Court.
