James Satterfield, 58, is accused of sending a threatening letter to the family of a Cobb County Superior Court judge, according to an arrest warrant.

A Cobb County man was very specific when he allegedly mailed a threatening letter to a superior court judge’s wife. Among other threats, the man wrote that he would kill the couple’s children and eat them, according to an arrest warrant.

James Edward Satterfield, 58, also stated that he would “cook them first to make them more palatable,” according to the Cobb County warrant obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The letter was postmarked Dec. 20, sent to the home of Cobb County Superior Court Judge Reuben Green and addressed to Green’s wife, the warrant states.

“Please give a copy of this letter to the police so that when you are slaughtered the public will know who were really responsible,” the letter from Satterfield allegedly stated.

Cobb County sheriff’s deputies arrested Satterfield on Dec. 30, booking records show. Satterfield was charged with making terroristic threats, a felony, and was being held Monday without bond.
