Victim of shooting in Taco Bell parking lot dies

Clayton County, GA —

A man found shot at a Taco Bell Restaurant in Clayton County has died.  On Wednesday, around 11:40 p.m., Police responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting at 3887 Highway 138 in Stockbridge, GA.

When Officers arrived at the scene they found a man shot in the upper torso.  A Medic Unit responded to assist, but the victim later succumbed to his injuries.

Shortly after this incident, Police say the suspect, Ellis Ray Saggus, fled the scene in a red full size pickup truck believed to be a Ford F-150.

During the police investigation, officers discoverd the victim and the suspect knew one another and they got into a verbal altercation in the parking lot of Taco Bell.   

Police say Ellis Ray Saggus fled the scene and is wanted.  But, they warn people that Saggus should be considered armed and dangerous.  Anyone with information regarding the shooting is asked to call Clayton County police at 678-610-4781.
