U.S. Marshals arrest wanted GA fugitive

By Bob Coxe

Marietta, GA —

Twenty five-year-old Ronnie Williams of Rincon is in the Cobb County Jail awaiting extradition back to Effingham County.

He was arrested by U.S. Marshals last night on a warrant stemming from a stolen car chase August 12 during which he pointed a gun at an Effingham county deputy pursuing him through a trailer park. He wrecked the car and ran, as did his three passengers.

A semi-automatic handgun he dropped was recovered at the crash scene. It turned out to have been stolen in Cobb County.

Williams, who had been one of Georgia's most wanted men, is also charged with skipping out on a court date in may, on drug charges.
