Gwinnett County, GA —

The owners of the Country Store, located at 298 W. Main Street in Buford, came into work recently and found that a burglar had taken $1500 worth of cigarettes and 15 lottery tickets.

Gwinnett Corporal Jake Smith tells WSB, "actually before the burglary was discovered because he took some scratch-off lottery tickets that he had stolen from a gas station just down the street."

So, the Georgia Lottery was able to quickly pinpoint where the lottery tickets had been cashed in, which led police to a local Chevron gas station.  Officers viewed security footage from the store and saw the person turning in the stolen lottery tickets.  The suspect is described as a white male, about five feet ten inches tall, weighs about 180 pounds and is believed to driving a red pickup.

Gwinnett Police say the store was burglarized on the evening on October 15, 2012 and the suspect in this case forced entry through the front door.

Anyone with information on the person in these photos should please call Gwinnett Police 770-513-5300.
