The southbound lanes of I-75 in north Cobb County have reopened after being blocked during the early stages of Wednesday’s morning commute as authorities worked to clear a wreck involving an overturned tractor-trailer.
The truck, which was hauling potatoes, flipped over before before 5 a.m. north of Wade Green Road.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
The left lane was reopened shortly after 6 a.m., and two more lanes were reopened about 30 minutes later, but southbound traffic remained jammed approaching the wreck scene.
Doug Turnbull in the AM750 and 95.5FM News/Talk WSB Traffic Center suggested that southbound motorists exit at Ga. 92 and head east to Wade Green Road and back to the interstate, or west to Cobb Parkway to get around the jam.
