ATLANTA —
An argument over a mechanic’s services ended up with both men involved shot.
Atlanta police said two men fired at each other outside a house on Pryor Road in southwest Atlanta.
Detectives said the owner of an old Cutlass was upset with his mechanic over what he deemed shoddy work on his carburetor, so he confronted the mechanic.
“The two individuals involved were in a dispute over some car repairs,” Atlanta police Capt. Adam Lee said. “The argument escalated to the level that they shot each other.”
The two exchanged several rounds of gunfire.
Police said the mechanic was shot in the groin and the owner of the car was hit several times before driving off. Detectives found him a few blocks away at a home on Polar Rock Road.
“The person was shot in the chest three times. It appears he is going to survive,” Lee said.
Both men are in stable condition. They are both convicted felons who now face aggravated assault charges.
