Obama accused of using mind control

Fulton County, GA —

A meeting of some Senate Republicans at the State Capitol last month is creating a buzz.  Senate Majority Leader Chip Rogers convened the meeting that included a presentation by a former tea party activist claiming President Obama is using a mind control technique from the Cold War era to push a United Nations environmental program called Agenda 21.

The program, also referred to as "smart growth", is purported to encourage the taking of private land by federal, state, and local governments through rezonings to create sustainable developments.

Seth Clark, a political researcher for government watchdog group Better Georgia, attended what he thought was an open meeting hosted by Rogers on the topic.  He recorded nearly an hour of the presentation before being asked to leave.

Clark tells WSB's Sandra Parrish he was shocked at the accusations made not only against Obama but the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and the Atlanta Regional Commission.

"I did not expect for Sen. Rogers to host somebody to say that the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and the Atlanta Regional Commission was part of a plot using mind control developed as a Cold War weapon to take away Americans' freedom," he says.

Just over a half dozen senators attended the presentation.

"They were taking notes, they were asking questions, they were engaged in this," says Clark.

Rogers did not return phone calls from WSB to respond to the accusations.
