Atlanta Police are expected to identify a man today arrested in connection with several violent attacks on women.

For weeks, several women have been hit with bricks, one woman was even stabbed.  Police got a break in the case after the suspect's mother turned him in.

She tells Channel 2 Action News she agonized after recognizing her son on surveillance video that police released in hopes of catching the suspect.

"Should I call?  Should I not?  If I don't call somebody will end up killing him or he'll end killing somebody.  So I said the best thing for me to do was to call.  It was the only thing that I thought would help," she cried.

The suspect has been arrested and is charged with several felonies.  Police are waiting on one more victim to identify the suspect for his name is released.
