A man wanted by Gwinnett County Police for an attempted kidnapping at the Barnes and Noble bookstore at The Forum in Norcross Sunday was arrested by Dunwoody Police this week for an incident at Perimeter Mall.

Kennedy Miranda was booked into the DeKalb County Jail on charges of disorderly conduct and giving a false name.

Gwinnett Police Cpl. Ed Ritter says Miranda's description and car matched the suspect wanted for the attempted kidnapping as well as two other incidents involving women in the same area.

"He attempted to kidnap a 20-year-old female out of the bookstore and grabbed her by the arm and started pulling her out and a witness observed this and intervened and pushed him out of the way," he tells WSB's Sandra Parrish.

Ritter says Miranda returned to The Forum on Tuesday and made lewd comments to several women at Festivity.  A half hour later, police say the suspect drove up to a woman and her three children in a nearby neighborhood; the woman saw him masterbating.

Each time the man was seen driving a silver BMW with an Indiana license plate.

In addition to the charges in DeKalb, Miranda faces charges of attempted kidnapping, simple battery, and public indecency.
