Atlanta Police have identified a man believed responsible for four violent attacks in Fulton County in the Castleberry neighborhood.

Lt. Jeff Cantin tells WSB 23-year-old Brian Duncan is being held without bond on four charges of armed robbery.

"The mother was a key factor.  She did give us a great tip, but the greatest break that we got was the last victim.  The last victim actually chased him down," said Cantin.

The last victim, who was robbed on Magnum Street, was injured and still helped police catch the suspect.

"After she was robbed of her purse and her hands were cut by the knife, she did get into her vehicle and followed the perpetrator up the street to Centennial Olympic Park.  At that point, she did use her vehicle to try and block him in on the sidewalk and ended up bumping him.  She was able to get the attention of some neighbors who were able to follow him a little bit further as we had units coming in.  We were able to quickly make an arrest," said Cantin.

Cantin says Duncan hit three of his victims with bricks in the attacks and stabbed another one.  Duncan's mother, who recognized her son on surveillance video, also called the police.

"I'm hoping the Castleberry neighborhood will feel a little safer tonight when they come home," said Cantin.
