A hostage situation in Johns Creek ended peacefully early Tuesday.
A man had been holding his 9-year-old son hostage in a car at a shopping center at Jones Bridge Road near Old Alabama Road. There was no evidence that the man was armed or threatened the boy. The standoff ended around 6 a.m. when the man surrendered to police. The boy was not injured.
CBS Atlanta quoted Johns Creek spokeswoman Rosemary Taylor as saying the incident began at about 1:40 a.m. Tuesday and was the result of a domestic dispute.
