Henry County PD looking for Facebook help

By Jon Lewis

Stockbridge, GA —

Henry County police hope that social media will lead them to a suspect.

They are looking for the man who, on December 21, 2012, used a stolen credit card at the WalMart at 5600 N. Henry Boulevard, in Stockbridge.  Surveillance video shows the suspect leaving the store in the company of two young boys.

Investigators turned to the internet in hopes of finding out who he is.

"We periodically upload BOLOs (Be on the Lookout alerts) to our Facebook page," says Henry County Police Sergeant Joey Smith.  "This time we had an anonymous tip and they told us who they believed the individual was in our BOLO."

Investigators did some checking and confirmed the suspect is Christopher Shane Hurst.  Smith says he has had several addresses lately, but they believe he is still in the Stockbridge area.

Police also say the two boys are Hurst's sons.

Hurst is wanted on a charge of Financial Transaction Card Fraud.

Anyone will information is asked to call the Henry County police.
