Gray kitten with rabies being sought by animal control officers in Henry Co.

By Jennifer Griffies

Henry County, GA —

Henry County animal control officers have located all but one kitten believed to have rabies.  Animal Control's Vince Farah tells WSB they're still looking for a gray kitten named Maggie.

"We have a 99.9% assurity that this other gray kitten who is still out there will be positive as well," said Farah.

On October 9th, a woman gave away four kittens at the Wal-Mart in Stockbridge.  One of the people who adopted a kitten noticed that it was sick.  It later turned out the kitten had rabies.

Authorities have located all of the other kittens who testified positive for the disease.

Farah says they're desperately trying to find the person who adopted the kitten.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Henry County Animal Care and Control at 770-288-7387.
