Gwinnett County, GA —

Two young men are in custody and police are seeking a third in a series of gas thefts around the Snellville and Loganville area.

Investigators with the Snellville Police Department tell WSB’s Sandra Parrish the three used a power drill to steal gas from five vehicles.

“Some people went to the driveway and smelled a heavy odor of gasoline and noticed a spill in their driveway,” says Det. Orlando Concepcion.

He says one victim went to fill up his tank at a local gas station and noticed gasoline pouring from underneath his vehicle.

Concepcion says a couple of thefts involving jewelry and power tools led police to the teens. When he went to visit the home of 18-year-ol d Steven Turner, he spotted several gas cans in the garage.

“I located the drill which smelled like gasoline,” he says.

Turner, along with 18-year-old Brandon Miller and 21-year-old Alejandro Jimenez, face numerous charges including thefts from other vehicles and homes.

Miller had not turned himself in as of Friday afternoon.
