Atlanta —
A Fulton County couple will serve life in prison, for what they did to her two-year- old boy.
Twenty-five-year-old Nikita Moore and her boyfriend, 27-year-old Reginald Johnson, were convicted in Fulton County Superior Court of murder, aggravated assault and battery and child cruelty in the death of Makel Moore-Thompkins.
When they brought him to South Fulton Hospital in December 2010, he was unresponsive, suffering from a fractured skull and bleeding on the brain. He died the next day.
The couple admitted beating him with a belt during potty training, but denied causing his head injuries. The autopsy found more than 40 injuries, old and new.
