Former TSA officer pleads guilty to smuggling cocaine thru Hartsfield

Fulton County, GA —

 

A former TSA agent pleads guilty in federal court in Atlanta for attempting to smuggle drugs through Harstfield-Jackson International Airport.

Officer Timothy Gregory, 26, admits to taking what he thought was five kilos of cocaine and $5,000.00 from one an undercover FBI agent and then smuggling it through airport security before handing it off to another agent.  The incident happened back in February 2011.

In May, he agreed to transport another 10 kilos of fake cocaine from Atlanta to Commerce.

Gregory pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy and one count of intent to distribute. 

He faces a maximum sentence of life in prison and up to a $10 million dollar fine when he's sentenced December 18.
