Former top educator in court to face charges

The former top educator in DeKalb County made a brief appearance in court, Monday.

Former DeKalb County Schools Superintendent Crawford Lewis and two others are accused of accepting bribes and stealing school construction funds in the millions of dollars.

The charges include racketeering, corruption, and theft.

An attorney for architect Anthony Pope, who also faces charges, says the case could go to trial before the end of the month.

They're accused of stealing millions in school construction funds and bribes.
