Fulton County, GA —
Police in Fairburn are hunting for a suspected child molester who, they say, victimized a family friend.
Warrants have been issued for Jerome Pope, 40, charging him with Aggravated Child Molestation, Enticing a child for indecent purposes, Statutory Rape, and Sodomy. Pope faces two counts of each.
Investigators believe Pope twice had sexual relations with an underage female. Pope is a family friend of the girl.
Pope is a black male, six feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds.
Police say Pope may be in the Meriwether County or Rockdale County areas.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Fairburn Police Department at 770-964-1441.
